Came in here specifically to say Earthbound. Giygas is literally the embodiment of evil at the end of the game.
Also: Persona 3 Final Fantasy 2 Final Fantasy 6? Somewhat iffy, but I think it's close enough. LoZ: Skyward Sword - I think Demise should count.
...so, yeah. Basically, JRPGs. --- Still waiting for a new Star Fox...

Tecmo's Deception on PS1... your literally trying to resurrect Satan in that game. Well, at least for one of the endings. Great game by the way! --- ~Crushin` 40 all the time.~

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door-The Shadow Queen Final Fantasy I & II-Chaos and Zeromus, respectively Breath of Death VII: The Beginning-Ultimate Evil Cthulhu Saves the World-Azathoth Castlevania: LoS-Satan Sonic Unleashed-Perfect Dark Gaia Fable III-The Crawler
I tried to think of ones with villains that aren't just black and white evil, but villains that are evil for not much reason, so I didn't count villains with revenge or anything like that as a motive. I could be wrong with Cthulhu Saves the World's villain because I never read H.P. Lovecraft.
I guess you can count plenty of Mario games and Zelda games. I wouldn't count Ganondorf though. At least the one from OoT, WW, and TP, for reasons explained in WW. You COULD count Castlevania in general, but Dracula does have some motives/a sad past that's detailed in some games. --- The Duke has spoken!
