If the Xbox 360 had been released in the 1990s, how much would it have cost?

The Neo Geo was $800 back in the late 80's!

Xbox 360 would be probably around $700, as the Neo Geo is better.

One hundred millioSAXON = JOKE ACCOUNT

This.
But I still don't know why I say it . Someone told me it had something to do with a wrestler.

Well his infamy is generated on the Pro Wrestling (WWE) board and then one year at Survivor Series someone held up a sign that said "Saxon = Joke Account", which launched him into history.

$12,000+ easily.

I remember seeing a true widescreen (flatscreen) 27in 480i tv back in 1996 sell for $14,000

Was there composite/scart in the 90s? I can't remember. Otherwise the Xbox would be nothing more than a noisy box that spat its tray out at you.

Really though, I saw an old electronics catalogue from like 2002 a little while ago and a 40gb hard drive was 200+. So from a hardware stand point it would be well into the thousands just for the parts.

Then, ignoring the fact that you can't plug it into any TVs, there's the point that it's light years ahead of any of the "current" systems. It'd be a millionaires only kind of thing.

It's kind of like going back to the 80s to a dude with a mobile phone in a suitcase with its battery strapped to his back, and showing him an iPhone 5 or a Sammy Galaxy SIII. You could charge whatever you wanted for that s***.

Any system with 2006 tech in the 90s wouldn't be in anyone's home. It would be running NORAD and doing other military stuff.

An insane amount of money, as the tech would be used for defense projects and the like.
