Why do people want mass effect 3 as goty?

#1readyaimfailPosted 12/7/2012 7:36:45 PM
It was mediocre, it was worse than me2 for crying out loud. I will back it up now
- mini games removed
- only one hub
- worse Normandy
- plot was a bit messy
- characters reduced in importance or not mentioned at all
- driving removed
- new unlikeable characters
- they re-added weapon mods
- the terrible preparation system points
- multiplayer had lots of lag on release and for three months after
- the multiplayer community were worse than other shooters, wth?
-then there is the cut content
- the plot holes
- then the ending was a bit messy
- graphical glitches
- slowdown in gameplay
- screen tearing
- the checking downloadable content menu screen hang

How could people want it to be goty?

There were games that made it look like a joke such as:
- far cry 3
-assassins creed 3
- journey
-borderlands 2
-Fez
-Dishonoured

Because people have different opinions from you

These people are meat virgins. They'll be taken by the grill and delicately and tenderly be shown the ways of flavorful meat love. The first time is beautiful.

Because they liked it. It's all opinions mate, I liked ME3, maybe not goty but it's a great game. I notice you have Borderlands 2 in your list of preferred games, but to me that series is boring, I just couldn't get into it at all, neither of our opinions is law, each to their own.

Oh, that's good! Fantastic, that is, twenty minutes to save the world, and I've got a Post Office. And it's shut. - The Doctor

I don't agree on most of those. The gameplay was great, it had plenty of variety, and the ending after the extended cut, while disappointing, isn't an insult or anything. I had the most fun playing it this year compared to other Nominees.

I think Mass Effect 3 was a lot better than Mass Effect 2. The plot actually progressed instead of stalling. Two games of ASSEMBLE THE TEAM, TEH REAPERS ARE COMING!. Is not good storytelling. Mass Effect 3 had some genuinely moving moments(the resolution to the Genophage and the Geth in particular). The ending was by no means great but it was a significant improvement on ME2's retread, and nowhere near as bad as people claim it is.

I personally think Journey deserves to win GOTY but I can understand why someone would want ME3 to win.

You live in a fantasy world. Different opinions, other than mine? I don't even know what to say to you. I suggest you seek help.

BAH, Jessica Alba looks terrible, eyebrows are all IDK. Sorry watching VGA's

Because Mass Effect 3 was honestly probably the best game that came out this year.
The ending wasn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be, and it doesn't change the first amazing 95%.
