As others said, Startropics. That was one of the major selling points of it was the yo-yo as a weapon and the hero being a pretty ordinary guy named Mike Jones if I recall right?

Bridget in Guilty Gear fights with a yo-yo.

Only example I can think of on Xbox 360.


You fight with a yo-yo in Startropics for the NES. Likely the sequel too.

You also fight with a yo-yo looking thing in Legend of the Mystical Ninja for SNES.
