Every year I try to pick my three best games of the year on a specific platform. I limit my picks to my three absolute favorite games that were released that year, plus ONE "Honorable Mention". The Honorable Mention does not necessarily have to be the "4th place" title, but instead a game that stood out and gained your respect for various reasons (is oftentimes harder to pick the Honorable Mention than the Top 3).

I would like to hear other people's choices, but with firm rules- one platform (360 since this is the 360 board), only three "Tops" and only one "Honorable Mention" (NO EXCEPTIONS- this is Sophie's Choice for a lot of folks).

Without delay, here are my "Top 3" for Xbox 360 for 2012:

1: Borderlands 2
2: Max Payne 3
3: Far Cry 3
Honorable Mention: Sleeping Dogs

Note- All the Top 3 were extremely close, especially Max Payne 3 and Far Cry 3, but FC3's graphical limitations on the 360 (which I usually don't really care that much about- a great game is a great game) took it down just slightly.

Any other picks out there? Would love to hear them.
