Why does everyone think Resident Evil 6 is so bad?

I'm currently playing through it for the first time on co-op and... enjoying it immensely. I'm not a huge Resident Evil fan but played all since 4. Finished Leons campaign an midway through Chris'. It sucks splitscreen is the same as RE5 with the tiny boxes but it'll do for now til my co-op buddy gets their own copy. If I was to pick one thing that I disliked... the cutscenes. I like a cutscene but when it gives you control after one only to go to another after walking 10 feet... what's the point? Just annoying and so frequent. The part when Leon has to climb a rope really irritated me as well simply because I don't think the onscreen prompts were very clear but I eventually sussed it. Having a lot of fun with it though, and look forward to seeing how the whole story plays out. --- Hulk is strongest one there is... Hulk is... only one there is... only one... there... is... res 6 was amazing most are trolls that exaggerate the flaws this game has or are people who live in the 90's who didn't get the memo and see the series was turning into an action franchise. --- You release your game and it has disc locked content and day 1 dlc I will just buy your game used. | |

When they decided to make that jump into the TPS genre they understood that it was moving on from some of it's old mechanics while still having the RE formula. Point is, they did something that aspired other game's such as GearsOfWar and Dead Space with the over the shoulder camera. Even at it's time it was something not many TPS did effectively. And it STILL felt like Resident Evil. Not to mention the subjectivity in my part in regards to it's memorable level design and good pacing compared to RE6's mediocre pace and exaggerated use of long QTEs. It's all a matter of opinion of course but to any core gamer that can easily identify the poor execution compared to other TPS out there can understand this. --- "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." | |

The final boss battle in Leon's campaign made me quit playing. I'll play the other's campaign someday, but that was my biggest complaint of the game. | |
