Still waiting for the standard to be 1080p with 60 fps

Looks at Halo ODST, Halo Reach , Splinter Cell:ConViction, etc., all under 720p.

Heck there's more games that are under 720p then 1080p.

You're still waiting for the standard to be the MINIMUM HD resolution?

Less than two years from now 720p will be dropped off the list of HD resolutions just like 480p was 2 years ago.

Wrong, do you realize how many people own 720p sets. Anyone with a tv under 40" is most likely 720"p. You can't even tell the different in sets under 32". My Vizio 32" is 1080p but that was just overkill.

Your local representative of the Blind just called, he'd like to offer you his seeing-eye dog....

Here's a little FYI for you.....PC monitors were going over 2200x2000 rez a decade ago before "HD Standards" ruined everything and dumbed them down.

Please explain to me how a dog can help a blind person see the difference in 720p to 1080p in tv sets under 32"?

Normal people don't use PC monitors in a living room setting, kooky Stig. No one cares about 4K unless their name is Kaz or they're niche PC gamer ultra-enthusiast. On a normal sized set (30-50 inches) no matter how your living room is set up, you will not see the difference. 4K for consoles will happen maybe 5 times in the entirety of next gen, and it'll be pointless all five times. Also: 99% of games will be sub 60fps too. No one cares about that either.
