720p and 1080p = no dif on a 32 inch.
I can tell the difference. Plenty of people can.

Film is not video. Two different things. 24p is the standard for film. Unless you're Peter Jackson.
4k is now and will be for the foreseeable future, impractical in a home theater environment. Put this way: at 10 feet, which is probably about an average distance, your eye cannot discern the difference between 720p and 1080p on a 50 inch display.

I take it you never experienced this before.
Download the (Wire World Screen Saver) demo and turn on the fps see if you can get at least 800fps.
On that demo the highest I can get is 1,500 fps.

I will when I buy my new gaming computer next month.
Edit: Actually, no I won't. I'll use a benchmark that actually shows something.

The point I am telling you is that anything over 60fps on a 60hz monitor is pointless.
Might as well be 80 million frames per second.
You'll only see 60 of it at a time.

This is quite possibly the most correct thing anyone has said in this topic.
That said, they do sell monitors and TVs with frequencies higher than 60.
