You're on a desert island. You are allowed to bring

1 video game (assume the island has electricity)
1 book
1 movie
1 tv series

Deal with it for the next 5 years... mine are

Fallout 3, Halo: Fall of Reach, End of Watch, and Lost.

What are yours?

I'm assuming you mean a videogame AND the console it's on, a tv and controllers etc., and for the movie and series I'm also assuming they are on DVD or something and you have a compatible DVD player so you can use these things properly.
Otherwise it really doesn't matter as it at best can serve as a bunch of frisbees or something if it's disc-based games and movies etc..
Not a very good deserted island if it has all those things upon your arrival, but whatever, I'll play along.
So with all that in mind I'd bring...

1. Sonic 06 for Xbox 360 (for some HD Rouge The Bat goodness on those long lonely nights)
2. a big thick book with a LOT of paper that I can use as tp or burning material if I can't find anything else, preferably one filled with information about how to survive on an island so while it's useful it's also useful
3. GunHed
4. the entire Total Drama series; Island, Action, World Tour and Revenge of the Island
---
I have: NES, GB, GBA(3), PSX(5), DC, PS2, PSP(2), GC(2), Wii, XB(2), XB360
I want: GBP, GBL, GBC, SNES, MD, MCD, 32X, SS, PS3, PSV

Game - Chrono Trigger
Movie - Pulp Fiction
TV Series - Breaking Bad

Don't read much, so don't really have a preference on a book.

I think the gist of the question is the following:
- You're alone on the island.
- You may not talk to the outside world nor play your one game with the outside world. The only communication you may receive from the outside world are the new episodes of the TV series and any updates/expansions for the game.
- You're provided with the means to use all four media on demand without any chance of a system failure.

Game: Either Minecraft (I can't play it much nowadays out of risk of getting sucked in), Fallout: New Vegas, or Pokémon Black 2 (playing 400 hours over the last three months cannot be healthy)

Book: I haven't read many lengthy books that I'd be willing to read repeatedly. I do have a few I haven't read that I would like to read, but if the chosen one is bad I'll be stuck with it.

Movie: I love movies, so it's hard to pick one. The aforementioned Shawshank Redemption is a good choice.

TV Show: Pokémon (Hey, I like it and only saw spotted episodes; I've been meaning to catch up)

After thinking, the game and TV show would definitely be the most important choices. Reading the same book or watching the same movie too many times can get old, while the TV show can easily provide hundreds of hours of content if it's a long-running show, possibly more if it's something still airing. The game would have to be something with maximum replayability, especially the ability to play through multiple different times in different ways.
