Why does MS not get into the Lapotp/Ultrabook business?(Xbox 360 related)

Seriously their Surface tablets are doing descent, and the Pro version coming out soon will make them even more money. MS owning half of the Windows they could make great amount of Laptops/Ultrabooks. MS could make a ton of money in this market if they market it well enough.

They could integrate it with XBL, or XBLA for the games, and offer more greater features like Party Chat or something through it. Combine it with the Tablet, and the Xbox somehow, and you're set.

Seriously MS this is a market that ya can get into.

If it's the same it's boring. If it's different condemn it to death.

So far looks like their only attempt to do what you described is with SmartGlass. I would love to see the ability to play XBLA games on Surface or a Windows 8 machine and have the saves stored in the cloud so you never lose progress.

MS could really do much more :\

The features you're talking about are all software related. MS could do all of that now if they really wanted to, but they're happy keeping the xbox and PC environments separate.
