Do you like gore in games?

Gore is gore. The only time gore ever impacted my gaming experience was Fallout 3. I picked the Bloody Mess perk and it got old really quick. Shooting someone in the foot and having their whole body explode isn't cool man.

I don't mind it if it makes sense, or adds to the narrative in some way. I've seen games that censor blood or gore in cutscenes (Xenosaga Episode 3...) and it looks really stupid.

I forget which game it is, but it's a current gen JRPG I'm sure. There's a scene at the start where a female drops from the ceiling and jumps at a guard, slashing across his throat and...sparks come out. The guard then drops dead.

I remember in Dragon Age, after my first battle with, like, 3 rats, I was absolutely covered in blood, which continued into the cutscene. Looked horrible, and I immediately turned the blood off.

My only problem with Persistent Gore being turned on in DAO is how badly it impacts frame rate.

I love gore in games. Hate timed missions and escort missions though.

Don't forget tailing missions where you have to follow a target but not get too close or too far away. Those missions are never fun, ever. Never in any game ever created in history. Ever.
