Are Xbox 360s with older firmwares worth a lot?

So I just bought an older Xbox 360 off of Craigslist that I believe has the firmware that was the first to have avatar characters and the squares on the left in the main menu.

Are these worth a lot lol?

I don't think it would have an elevated worth based on firmware.
Though people do like older versions of the dashboard, the Xbox would be crippled.
You couldn't take it onto Live. Maybe not even migrate your account without first updating.
So, I think you simply have an Xbox 360 that simply needs a update. Sorry.

Wouldn't it make it easier to mod it? I know maybe it's a silly idea I remember reading somewhere about it a while ago.

Oh well I'm still selling it either way. Got it with 2 controllers and GTAIV for $60.

Someone who wants to mod it might find it easier than modding a newer firmware, so maybe to them it's worth more? I don't keep up with that though, I could be wrong.

A few years ago people that modded consoles would be looking for em. (JTAG)

Now (RHG) they are worth whatever you can convince someone to give you. Old consoles die, and people don't want that.

Just figured out it has the 9199 firmware. Apparently people on eBay are buying systems with this version. Interesting.
