"Gamers have got to just quiet down," Yee said. "Gamers have no credibility in this argument. This is all about their lust for violence and the industry's lust for money. This is a billion-dollar industry. This is about their self-interest."

This is completely false, and wrong logic to have.

So much for freedom of speech eh?

He has somewhat of a point, but could not have said it worse.

Some of these gamers sound a lot like the NRA trying to pass the buck completely. You cannot just give games, guns, the media and movies a free pass on this issue.

This.

Yee is the biggest attacker of the First Amendment in the country, and is the biggest argument for enacting term limits for ALL politicians.

GS is annoying. As this debate rages on, they always tell you the party identification of Republicans who say stupid things, but they don't mention when it's a Democrat. They've had a story on Senator Rockafeller and this on on Senator Yee, both of whom are Democrats, but they fail to ever mention that. Yay for honest journalism...

Anyway, Yee is a blatant demagogue. He's already told law abiding gun owners (ie. the vast majority of gun owners) to sit down and shut up. He's simply doing the same thing to gamers now. Speaking of which, we should be banding together to defend EVERYONE'S rights, rather than pointing fingers and blaming each other.

Yee has no f***ing point at all, his bill was already shot down by the Supreme Court, he can deal with it and shut the F*** up himself. He failed, he needs to step down because he obviously had his fingers crossed when he took his oath to protect the Constitution.

And the rush to blame violent games after Sandy Hook was f***ing stupid, Lanza's family and friends said he never played those games, so blaming them is the move of a desperate censorship supporter.
