^ My personal favorite metal song from that game, was the Bon Jovi song. --- A Mod/Admin replied on 11/5/2011 6:06:56 PM: Telling other users to smell your ass is trolling. End of story.

Brutal Legend...the whole game is basically a parody of metal album covers and music videos.
It's not a parody, it's an homage.
he personally selected most of the songs.
That is subjective.
I see what you did there. --- "It's not about money, it's about sending a message. Everything burns."

Anyway I'll go with Sacred 2, for the game that I name. Blind Melon was excellent in that game. --- A Mod/Admin replied on 11/5/2011 6:06:56 PM: Telling other users to smell your ass is trolling. End of story.

Saying something is subjective when it's objective. At least that's what I hope you were going for. Because Tim has said in interviews that he and the DF music director picked the tracks.
And Blind Melon is about as metal as Guns 'N Roses. Which is to say, not very. --- "It's not about money, it's about sending a message. Everything burns."

There's an indie game called Abaddon: Retribution that has a metal soundtrack. It's all music composed for the game and has no lyrics, but it's actually pretty decent. It's hard to describe the game exactly. Think Battlestar Galactica. Earth has been destroyed, and you're a fighter pilot on a large military ship (Abaddon). The game is basically you protecting the ship. You can upgrade Abaddon's defenses and turrets, and you can also upgrade your fighter. The game is surprisingly polished and well written for an indie game, and the metal actually fits in a strange way. Lot's of twin stick shooter action with crunching guitars and relentless double bass. I think it's only 80 points, but I might be wrong. Definitely check out the demo. --- Games I Dig: Metroid, Elder Scrolls, Zelda, Contra, Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Monster Hunter, Doom, Tales, Ys, Megaman, Final Fantasy, Borderlands, and Shmups.
