I've only played lost planet 2, and never even finished the game, about 2/3 of the way through I stopped for some reason. It was really fun when I did play it, very challenging too, if that's what you're into. I might have to pick up where I left off on that now..

Yes, but it puts two really small screens on the tv, making it hard to see if you don't have a gargantuan tv.

Yes, but the customization is lacking it. Resident Evil 5 and Resident 6 are much better for splitscreen despite the small screens.

I'd honestly play Lost Planet 1 if you are interested in testing the series and Lost Planet 2 if you want more after LP1.
