Dragone Age: Origins and 2 are on Sale. Worth it?

#1TrejikPosted 2/4/2013 10:01:45 AM
They're about 10 Euros each. Which is dirt cheap. Like 800 MS Points cheap.

Do they still hold up pretty well nowadays? My PC can't handle those games at all, and I always heard they were really good, so I'm not sure if I should pick them up.

Big fan of RPG's, especially Mass Effect and Dark Souls to name some from this gen, and I always loved Diablo and Diablo II along with Baldurs Gate. Any opinions? Worth it? Yes? No?

Thanks for the responses!

Definitely Origins, although not too sure about 2.

I like Dragon Age 2 more than Origins, but they're both good games. You can't go wrong with them...but I'd look for the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age:Origins on disc - you'll get all the DLC for the game with that.

I still haven't played DA2, but I played through Dragon Age Origins last year and it was excellent.

I still need to play through Awakening, and the extra content that was included with the Ultimate Edition.

At first you look at the game and think, damn this looks like a PS2 game, but then you play for an hour or two and you're hooked.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Yes to both.

Like Winter, I too enjoyed DA2 a bit more . . . but that might because I lowered my expectations after the first game.

Yes! Although you will get people hating on DA2.

DA: Origins is one of, if not best RPG's this gen.

Yes to both. Origins is amazing(starts slow but snowballs into awesomeness!).

Origins is one of the best RPGs this gen. 2 isn't worth playing, no matter how cheap you can get it.

Origins is a must.

2 has fun combat and looks nice, but the story is idiotic and the environments are blatantly recycled over and over.
