Really all this proves is Valve are over-rated as a games developer (I mean truly, beyond my mere opinion), because all you have to do is mention that FPS aren't your cup of tea and you don't find their games that interesting, then suddenly you get people rushing to their defence telling you how great Steam sales are.


I'm friends with those people. They can't fathom how I don't like TF2, and how I don't drop $500 every seasonal sale to build a backlog of games I won't get to like they do. I love Steam sales, they are great, but it's not really saving money if you never play the games, is it?

Ok, well maybe next I can do a poll about best developer with a single hit franchise to their name. I don't know how to really phrase it.

anways it could be: Gearbox for BL, Irrational for Bioshock, Rocksteady for Batman

Which other developers would fit that template?

Visceral for Dead Space.

Don't put Kojima Productions there. They have made Zone of the Enders, Snatcher and Policenauts too.

They have, but God of War jumps out as their only blockbuster to me.

Edit: I say that because I like Irrational riding the Bioshock wave, but they did make System Shock and Freedom Force, which were frickin' awesome.
