Dumb question but is there a way to plug in regular headphones into the 360?

I have a nice pair of headphones that I use for PC that I'd like to use on my 360. Is there any kind of adapter that exists to allow me to do so?

You could probably get an adapter to plug the white/yellow cords into, that you could plug it into. I have one that I use to hook my 360s sound to my PC, so all my sound comes from the same speakers, PC and 360, and I can control the mix via the sound controls on my computer.

...

Actually you could just do that and hook your headphones to your PC.

Yes it's possible, but you may need specific parts.

If your tv has an earphone jack you could use that. I've done that before.

Can you do what you do while using HDMI? I use HDMI 360 to my PC monitor.

Question: If I plug in USB speakers or headphones (wireless perhaps) directly into the Xbox 360, will I get sound? And will there be loss in sound quality?

If you have the thing that will plug into the component/composite spot on the 360 you can. I use HDMI for video and have my composite cables plugged into my headset adapters without actually getting plugged into the tv at all.

Is pretty much the same as what I use to run my Xbox sound through my PC.

I don't know, I actually use a VGA hook up for my 360.
