Incorrect. In a vast majority of jurisdictions in the US, software is sold, not licensed.

Incorrect. If you own a DVD or a physical copy of a game, you can dispose of that original copy however you wish without regard to the wishes of the copyright holder. It's called the First Sale Doctrine.
