This is a split board - You can return to the Split List for other boards.

Cinematic games rock when you can spend the time between action scenes playing with a kitten in a box, and blowing all of your allowance on Coke cans and vending machine toys.

I don't enjoy holding forward and pressing a button over and over again while it looks like I'm doing a ton of exciting things, when it's really just a glorified cutscene.

AAA titles are the worst this generation. Thank god for XBLA.

go buy a nes

I'm actually playing SNES right now. It was nice because when I started the game I could play it right away and not sit through an hour tutorial and 20 minutes of videos.

Games have every right to be more about their story than their gameplay.

That would be a 'video-book' not a video-game. How this generation has become a bunch of complacent, story driven, non-gamers is beyond me. Pretty animated cut scenes does not a game make, never will. Read a book.

What is the deal with all the crying on this board lately?

Thankfully devs don't listen to the whiny minority.

I honestly couldn't care less what you think

Hopefully games continue on the direction they are now.

If they do, they'll be called movies.

They've been around for some time.
