About dragons dogma, I played Dragon Age 1 and 2 on the PC and loved them both. My fear is that it might feel watered-down in comparison to that. It seems like Dragon Age but minus the story quality and the lore. Is this an unfair assumption? Also, is the 'pawn' system important and does it slow down combat?
The narrative isn't nearly as fleshed out, but the combat is substantially better in DD. Pawns are important, but you don't have to babysit them-- they have 'inclinations' (I forget what they're called in game, but basically, set behavioral priorities) that you can set in your own pawn and see in other pawns before you hire them, so just pick a party that will do what you want and ignore them. It's a slick system that will surprise you more often than not at how well it works. --- "'Grab the guns!' 'What about the troll?' 'Leave the troll.'"--ATHF
