I'm a single player gamer through-and-through. I'll sit down and spend 8 hours or more playing a game, but if I go into multiplayer I'll last 2 maybe 3 before I'm just sick of it for the day. --- "The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never be sure if they're true" - Abraham Lincoln
Because all types of multiplayer are exactly the same, no matter what, right?
Only an idiot would lump FPS/TPS multiplayer, beat-em up multiplayer, fighter multiplayer, puzzle game multiplayer, MTG multiplayer, etc, etc, etc into one generalized category. --- R.I.P. Eve English (Feb. 12, 1968 - Oct. 13, 2010) Momma Eve, you will be missed.
I've played multiplayer fighting games, first person shooters, racing games, platformers, beat-em-ups, and strategy games recently, and I would not say that any of them were mindless. However, they were all fun.
That said, I can also appreciate a good single-player game and definitely do not believe every game should have a multiplayer mode.
I like multiplayer, but the notion that every last game needs a multiplayer mode is ridiculous to me, and I wish devs would stop. I also dislike the trend of devs feeling like the multiplayer has to make sense within the context of the game's story, to me all it does is limit the gameplay possibilities. --- PSWii60 owner GT/PSN/Steam: MadDogV2
