Likely. They will try to push native resolution and everything before they start increasing FPS.

For a game like BF3, 30 FPS felt so sluggish. It works in Halo because of the pacing, but BF really felt off in 30FPS.

Thing is you can have one of two things. Graphics or frame rate. That's how it's always been with consoles and it'll always be that way. We get more powerful hardware, sure, and it would be more than enough to run previous gen games at a higher standard, but we want NEW stuff and we want the new stuff to have uber graphics, and so the same balancing act comes into play again. What do we ramp up, what do we drop down, is it worth turning off a couple of light shaders in order to up the textures? Or should we drop the shadow renderers in order to take the game up to 2x AA instead of none? And after all of that do we have the graphics set to high across the board with 30FPS, or do we drop texture quality, lighting, shadows, anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering, draw distance and skybox quality in order to hit a stable 60FPS?
