Have you guys accepted MGR:Revengeance is the best action game since Bayonetta?

So? What's your point?

Action games are games like Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, DMC, GoW, MGR, and so on.

Yeah, but more SPECIFICALLY they are Hack 'n Slash.

No. Hack n' Slash is Dynasty Warriors/N3 type games. With mindless button mashing to kill a mass amount of guys. Those games are about intricate combos and combat depth (no so much GoW, but still good).

You can argue all you want, but regardless, beatumeps are action games as well, so anyone saying they prefer batman arkham city as an action game over bayonetta or mgr is still correct.

And yes, hack n slash is a term this gen, and last gen to describe games like devil may cry, bayonetta, god of war.

Hack n slash does not imply button mashing, but can consist of games that involve button mashing (like dynasty warriors), but also consists of games with intricate combat system like devil may cry and bayonetta.

Just like there are fighting games that are button mashing, ones and there are technical fighters as well.

So what would you call MGR or Bayonetta? And don't say "Action".

I think "action" is a little too broad of a term because you can lump certain shooters into the category. Hack n' Slash describes what the game's combat is like and it sounds dope as s**t!

I will never call them Hack n' Slash. It just sounds way to primitive of a term. When I hear HnS I think of mindless button mashing, and that's not what those games are. I will always refer to them as Action games. Or if you want I can be "that guy" and call them CUHRAYZEE games.

If you think Bayonetta is a button masher... Well youre doing it wrong.

No one has said that about Bayonetta at all in this topic.

Saying something is an action game is far too broad, most games can fall under the action game genre!

Bayonetta and MGR are hack and slash games, simple as that

No, TC. I have not. I also never will. MG:R is already extremely overrated and so is Bayonetta.

Until they confirm playable Sunny, it can't be.

My opinion as an MGS and Bayo fan.

You are the only one who doesnt consider them hack n slash. Even P* has them listed as Action/Hack N Slash.

My view as well.

Besides, why should i pay $60 for a game with 5 hours of gameplay and around 400 enemies total?

Fun to play? Isn't that what a game SHOULD be all about?
