Thinking about getting the collectors for 30 bucks ,I want another beefy RPG with lots of side quests and loot

I enjoyed it, but its not very long for the genre.

I did everything in ~30ish hours.

Well at Gamestop you can get a rubber ducky, a water gun, or a pirate sleeve Wii bundle.

I'm playing through now and really enjoying it. A little glitchy, and it starts out fairly tough, especially as money is so hard to come by. The insta-death booby traps are a little annoying. It does, however, have some pretty funny moments. Don't play if you are offended by swearing, BTW.

Maybe minor spoilers in those two, but it will give you the feel for the humor.

Risen 1 was pretty damn underrated.

^^^ The DLCs are a bit glitchy.

TC, you will get quite some loot to unfold. However you have to gear towards Cunning 6 to get the hold of most stuff.

As a console port it feels better than Risen 1 when it comes to controls, inventory, menus and some other small stuff. IN short it feels more streamlined for better or worse.

However you can feel it was a budgeted game when it comes to graphics, physics, the comrade A.I being so-so and the rare big drops in fps. ("Air Temple" being one example)

When it comes to sidequests you get quite a few no matter what path you pick. Some you can finish before starting them while others take some time to finish.

Do mind that combat is skewed, since swordplay can drain your provisions more than they really need to to. (And damn you feel the guns are powerful once you take a step back)

ALWAYS save before you take the boat to a different island to save you some headache in case the game freezes while loading.

I like it, and am still needing to finish it. Aside from a bug here and there, my only complaint is that there isn't much in the variety of weapons and armors. I've been using the same set of clothes for a good 60% of the game now. =/

A Jose Canseco bat? Tell me...you didn't pay money for this.

There aren't that many set of clothes to pick between. Just get something you like, or one that is geared towards silver tongue or intimidate.

Same with weapons where you either pick from the damage threshold, or hunt down the buried swords, if you aren't making your own weapons.

Loved it. The menu system is much better than the first on consoles and actually thought it played better too.

It may have a lower average on Metacritic and Gamerankings but i found the 2nd more playable on 360 compared to the first.
