No I've never been in the modding business, I actually pay for my games because I have morals

So it's a hit or a miss if I buy a game in Taiwan as to whether it will work or not?

It's not a hit or miss, you've just got to buy region free titles. Or import the ones from your region on Play-Asia or something.

Modding a console to be region-free has nothing to do with buying or not buying games.

I didn't say you were pirating games.

The disc is not locked; the disc has a region code on it. The console you're playing also has a region code. If the region codes match, then the disc works. Otherwise, the disc does not work.
