what is a GREAT gaming headset?

Hey all,

my girlfriend wants to get me a headset for my birthday.

I heard turtle beach was awesome, but doing some research, some 'hardcore gamers' say they are garbage.

I wish I could find the board I was looking at, but they were popping off companies I never even heard of.

I am looking for a wireless set, between $200-$300

Those are pretty slick, best ones I've seen so far.

Any neat features that you didn't realize until you got them?

How's the bass?
