Why would you want Microsoft Office on a games console? --- Optimizations seems to be a arcane art of video games. Few devs are masters of it. Some occasionally stumble upon it. But to most, it's all ancient Greek.

No, it has no place on a games console, and isn't even necessary on most PCs. Plus, given their current model for 2013, it'll probably have a further annual subscription fee.

Unless you are thinking of some sort of special integration with the rest of the applications (ej. automatically creating a pie chart with the results of your last COD game), you are better of just using Google's equivalent applications. They are already accessible with any browser.

Libre Office is pretty dreadful compared to the Microsoft alternatives.
Whilst I don't agree with the pricing for Office, you simply cannot deny how good and efficient they are.
I remember when people tried getting me to use OpenOffice in the past... lol
