Silent Hill (Should have stopped at 3) Resident Evil (Should have stopped at 3)
Yeah, resident evil went in a completely new direction with 4. It would have been nice to stop it at three. It went from genuine horror with a badass Nemesis to an action hero type of game. It's not a bad game at all, just isn't Resident Evil. They could have kept 4 just as it was and in 5 returned to the more traditional type of RE, the events of 4 could have just been a one time event. But sadly they screwed up with 5 by keeping it with those type of enemies(I can't for the life of me remember their damn names.) --- Achievement UnlockedAvatar of Sithis 150(G)Chosen to bring death to Tamriel. |
ArchMageSynokPosted 2/19/2013 5:17:02 PM | Splinter Cell (conviction and blacklist were decent games, but they should have been labeled Jason Borne, not splinter cell) Turok (went to intsa-crap after the 64 games) F.E.A.R. TES is on its way out Bioware in general is also on the cusp of being ruined by EA Ninja Gaiden --- http://i.imgur.com/UNFgs.jpg |

And the amount of bullets it would take to kill them just increased more and more with 5. 4 is great, just not RE to me. I didn't even care about the story at all. I thought it stopped after 2 which is a game that I quite liked. Old school RE style game but with more of a shooter style gameplay instead of horror. 3 completely slipped under my radar to bad it apparently blows lol. I'm still shocked I somehow missed that one when I was a huge fan of the second one. --- 3570k @ 1.260v - 4.6Ghz, GTX 580 @ 980/2106, ASUS Sabertooth z77, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHZ, Intel 335 SSD (boot). |
Alidog02Posted 2/19/2013 5:39:05 PM | This is the thread that all the "old" people come to complain about how games used to be in their day. Christ... on that note pretty much anything EA is involved in eventually sucks.

oasisbeyondPosted 2/19/2013 5:49:28 PM | Devil_wings00 You probably were a Sony Fanboy that's why lol Game is not that bad, it's the camera that made it get bad reviews. Was a nice looking game and pretty cool concept. DC was always a Re clone though and the quality never was on par. |

TES is on its way out Bioware in general is also on the cusp of being ruined by EA Ninja Gaiden While I don't disagree with you on anything but TES. Seriously TES is on it's way out? One of the most successful run away hits on all platforms in years? While I agree that skyrim isn't as good as people claim, it's hardly bad enough to destroy a legacy. If anything skyrim didn't come along TES "legacy" would have been that of an obscure RPG series that everyone heard of but never played. Oblivion made the general public aware of TES but it's skyrim that made the series a household name. I'm sorry that skyrim/oblivion took away the gaming hipster cred the series once had but thanks to it's popularity it actually HAS a legacy that can be ruined now. --- 3570k @ 1.260v - 4.6Ghz, GTX 580 @ 980/2106, ASUS Sabertooth z77, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHZ, Intel 335 SSD (boot). |
