Fun fighting game, probably the best I've played this Gen. While I was never one that actually cared for any Blood and Gore in the MK games, the gameplay was a lot of fun. Can't say it's my favorite fighter (Super Smash Bros. Brawl takes this spot), but it's a solid title.

What greater weapon is there than to turn an enemy to your cause? To use their own knowledge against them?

The epitome of what a fighting game should be.

9. A couple more characters would have made it a 10, imo.

Royal with Cheese. What do they call a Big Mac? Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it Le Big Mac.

Back in the day it was only 2nd to Street Fighter 2. These days the original doesn't hold up more, but the current entries to the series are good... not amazing, but good.

It was good, but it still suffered from that 'stiffness' MK games always seem to have.

But the content made up for that.

I play a lil bit of everything on a lil bit of everything.
Not changing this until we get a Viewtiful Joe 3 or HD collection of VJ 1&2 (started 8/14/12)

Which Mortal Kombat? Oh well, I will rate each one of them
Mortal Kombat (1992) - Arcade version: 6.5/10, Console version (1993): ... I actually haven't played the console version
Mortal Kombat (2011) - 10/10, my favorite MK game so far.

Let's put it this way, I don't normally buy any limited or collectors editions of any game. I bought the tournament edition for Mortal Kombat. It was like Christmas when I opened my tournament joystick.
