Who is your favorite protagonist and why?
There isn't a dearth of options and I am sure I am missing one or two notable ones. We have had a handful of new additions in the last two years so the results could be interesting.
To qualify for the poll the characters should be original videogame characters or at the least, they should owe most of their acclaim to their videogame counter part. That means no characters based off of real people, movie characters, or comics, etc.
This also does not include create a players obviously. Also try to shy away from players in a game where you can select multiple protagonist who don't really impact the story or narrative.
Also, not, that when referring to a protagonist I mean a main character that the player controls. Not side characters or sidekicks that the story doesn't almost totally revolve around or feature.
