Xbox is in trouble

What did Sony nail exactly? They hardly showed anything. The stuff they did show or talk about really wasn't that impressive at all. I don't get how you or anyone else thinks MS or the Nextbox is in trouble after that conference...

I want to pick on Killzone 2 a little more. Here are the critic reviews:

I am a big time shooter fan, and are you ****ing serious? I know it seems pretentious of me to just say the game was mediocre, but no way in **** did it deserve those scores.

Review sites this year seem to have more mixed opinions. It seems around the time that game came out, review sites all jumped on the same BS bandwagon.

The odds of every professional reviewer giving that game nothing but 9s and up makes me laugh. I actually purchased that POS game because of the rave reviews.

Also I completely forgot about Resistance 2.

That was my first game I got on PS3. I will say Killzone 2 was mediocre, but I absolutely thought Resistance 2 was pretty bad. Even the graphics were butt ass ugly.

Why were all the "professional" critics rating PS3 crappy exclusive rave reviews? People want to say EA buys reviews, I have a stronger feeling about Sony.

MS will definatley have my buisness in the future got a PS3 in 2011 have not played it nearly as much as I should its just kinda boring to me compared to the Xbox and I think MS will only make the next one even better.

PS4 spec-wise looks great and the controller is an improvement over the ancient Dual Shock models. That said, they didn't show a single game that I am interested in other than Watch Dogs and Destiny that are both coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox 720. I'm just not sold on it yet. Especially with MS not having announced anything yet. It is all still up in the air for me right now.

Destiny well have exclusive dlc for ps4/3 only if that helps lol

All I got from the Sony conference was:

A controller with Share button
Social! Social! Social! Social! Social!
Some guy getting orgasms over a racing game.
Social! Some more Social! Share! Sharing! Share! Social! Share!
Move! Move!
A 15fps current-gen looking trailer of Killzone.
A few tech demos and FMVs.

All Microsoft have to do is support a keyboard+mouse as a controller input method, and allow alt+tabbing to a different app, and they would have already slaughtered Sony's conference.

Well since the PS4 isn't backwards compatible with PS3 discs, MS is probably going to go for this as a selling point for their next console

No, they're not. It's cost-prohibitive.

Well there is one way MS can top Sony's announcement... They can show the damn console!

I will admit that there were many things that impressed me with the PS4 show, but after staying up to watch it and waiting in hope to see the machine itself, even through the needless capcom and Sque-enix segments and still we had nothing. Not even a picture.

MS only has to allow the playing of used games... sold!

Sony already mention to eurogamer that the PS4 will allow used games.

So far I like Sony's direction this time compared to MS. If all the leaks about Durango is true(weaker specs, too much kinect focus, anti used games, etc.) then they are the ones playing from behind when next gen starts.

I don't care what they said, if they have no plans on allowing Ps3 games(Cloud, lol) then Ps4 used games will be next.

How are they going to top that presentation? Playstation 4 conference covered everything. Microsoft no longer has an advantage when they go first at E3. Sony had their press conference first this year and they nailed it!

Are you kidding me? All crap games, they had Diablo 3 up there for Gods sake.

I don't understand how Diablo III will even run. It's a game that is best used/played on a pc with a keyboard/mouse. It could be played with keyboard/mouse on ps4 but it'd be kinda dumb imo. Plus the main point is there's no way it could run a game that's connected online 24/7 with thousands of people playing at the same time. Anyways, PS4 will be outdated by the time it comes out compared to pc. Along with 720, so they should just stick with making fun consoles games.

If Torchlight can run on the 360, then Diablo 3 can probably run too. The control scheme is not the issue - clearly, with games like Bastion and Torchlight working perfectly with a controller, controllers are not a bad option for this type of game (in fact they may be a superior option). And it's not like in D3 you have an infinite number of skills that you need to bind on keys to a keyboard. I think you only have something like 5 skills available at any given time, which is something the controller can easily handle.

Remember, there were controller mods for D2.
