It would have taken out Dead Space or Aliens if there weren't a rampaging debate on whether DS3 was good or not and people weren't up to their ears in conspiracy theories about Aliens. On top of that, the short campaign in a game that's traditionally had pretty large ones and MP so desolate that it was lagging on day 1 because (no kidding) only 2000 people were online playing have killed it in terms of word of mouth. --- "'Grab the guns!' I think Crysis 2 sold well because it was 'Crysis on consoles!!!', something every PC gamer had been preaching for years was an impossibility, so gamers went out and bought it just to see those amazing graphics. Hell, I was one of them.
But honestly, I felt the MP was crap, the campaign was average at best and boring at worse, and the my biggest complaint was the number of bugs and glitches that Crytek acknowledged but refused to patch.
So that's why I'm not even interested in the new one. --- Meet the new love of my life-- http://itotd.com/view/80/
Seriously, how does a company that big get away with churning out products like this? You had to quit to the dash every mission to avoid the grain glitch on Crysis 2, and now you have to do it again to avoid sound bugs. --- Meet the new love of my life-- http://itotd.com/view/80/
For some reason, I never got the grain glitch in 2, so Crysis 2 might be my favorite FPS MP this gen.
Had high hopes for Crysis 3. Ah, well.
Lucky. I avoided it for most of the game by resetting every level (and losing all my guns and rocket and c4 ammo in the process), but eventually I decide the glitch couldn't be so bad that it was worth the hassle of sitting through so many loading screens, so I stopped with the resetting method.
Anyway, I think I made it through the next stage with out bother and halfway through the next one. It was that section in all the trailers when those big War of the Worlds type machines first appear. Well the minute they did the glitch kicked in and it was ten times worse than I though. Maybe it had to do with the fact that it was a night time level, but when it happened it made the whole screen look like a photo negative.
I played the rest of that level with the awful effect in place and it ruined what was probably the best part of the game for me. --- Meet the new love of my life-- http://itotd.com/view/80/
