FMV's take up a lot of space. They have to compress it heavily in order for the whole game to fit. Compressing decreases the quality which is why it looks so pixelated.

Yeah, that's why it should have been in real-time. Crytek has this super fancy looking engine and they don't know what to do with it.

Thats disappointing.

FMVs in general suck but it's especially bad for a game where the graphics are supposed to be one of the main points of the franchise.

They would but those FMVs are were the game loads the levels. They're loading screens in disguise. Crysis 2 would show an overhead tactical map, Crysis 3 shows a cutscene. Both ideas are better than the generic screens in Crysis 1.

I am not sure. Give me a while. I'll need to finish Revengeance before getting into the Nanosuit.
