I liked the Dreamcast too, but how did SEGA have the right idea? The internet browser, by default, wasn't free. There was a way around it, an exploit, but by default you had to pay for the internet browser and it was awful on top of that.

EDIT: Nevermind, I might be thinking of something else. Still just an awful browser though, even for the time.

It used a web browser at 640x480 that supported a version of Flash and Java, as well as a keyboard and mouse.

In 1998, that was pretty ahead of its time. It never really got used because back then dialup charged per minute or was quite expensive (or engaged the phone line, which was a problem back then since no one had mobile phones), so internet usage wasn't anywhere near as heavy as it would have been today.

Such a shame really. SEGA's internet service could be easily considered as Xbox Live Beta.
