RE4 or RE6

#31Cobra1010Posted 2/28/2013 6:38:28 AM
I played through RE4 around 70 times
I played through RE5 three times
I played through RE6 one and a half times.

I wont mention the older series unless you are a early 90s or late 80s kid.

Playing: Nothing, maybe a bit of LoL. Am I getting old or are games this gen just mediocre?

This is gonna be tough TC, RE6 is absolutely abysmal, but if you already played RE5 the gameplay for RE4 will feel like a clumsy Beta version of 5. Not to mention that RE4's terrible escort missions and weirder than usual story kind of ruin things......

No it won't. I played 5 before 4, and 4 is better in every single way.

EVERY. SINGLE. WAY.

RE4 is a lot better than RE6 in my opinion.

Let me reiterate that: IN. MY. OPINION.

Now that that's out of the way...

RE6 is riddled with too many damn QTEs. It should have just been called "Quick Time Event Extravaganza 6." It's almost on par with Asura's Wrath.

Leon's campaign is the only good one out of the 4 campaigns and it's not even all that great. But it's definitely leaps and bounds better than the others.

If people want Capcom to take another direction (hopefully going more back to it's roots) ya'll need to STOP BUYING 6! They even came out and said that how well Revelations sells compared to 6 will probably determine which direction they take the series from here.

Resident Evil 4 definately. While RE 6 seems playable, I'd go with 4. On the note of RE6 being the worst in the series however, I played through RE Deadaim and you'd probably have to try to be worse than that as far as an RE title goes. A decent rail shooter, just not a decent RE.
