How good is Tales of Vesperia?

I like it quite a bit and it was my first Tales game, I agree with some others though that Lost Odyssey is even better if you haven't played it yet.

I got bored of Abyss' story after he cut his hair.

I rented it for a few days. I enjoyed it, but not enough to rent/buy it to finish it. Tales of Symphonia was a lot more enjoyable.

I remember when GameFAQs was good.

I've only played a couple Tales games but this one was my favorite by far. So much extra stuff to do if you want to.

I liked it a lot, it's one of the only 3 games I have on the 360. As far as comparing it to Abyss I would say it was equal for me.

I played Lost Odyssey last summer, thought it was a great game. I tried the Tales of Vesperia demo, didnt even realize there was one, and like it so far. Although I can see the voice acting taking more time to get used to than Abyss. One last question, Tales of the Abyss took me about 40 hours to finish the story with no side quests done at all except for that cheagle one near the end, is Vesperia comparable to that in length?
