how do I get better at MP in general.

in MP games these days I feel like everyone is superior to me and I've been playing MP games for 6 years now.. I'd ask for tips on how to be better but I'm not really sure where my problems lie. I just know I tend to get killed more then I kill others.

Know the maps, play the corners, get the high ground, work on your head shots, and always play around with different strategies.

I forgot to say, don't spend much time out in the open. If theres a house with a window, or a some high ground with any cover, use it. I'm not saying camp, but just use those things to take out those who are running around in the open.

I'm pretty good at every game, and the major thing I noticed I do differently is constant movement at all times.

You first might want to check on any potential TV lag situation. If you're using an HDTV turn on Game Mode, or at the very least disable any of that 240Hz processing crap.

If your K/D is close to 1, who cares so long as you're having fun? If it's more like 0.33 then yeah that's pretty bad.

I'd suggest go with MP games that favor objectives more, that way you can play the objectives and still get good scores and XP, and feel like you're a valuable team member. So Battlefield 3, or in CoD something like Domination or that mode where you get a bonus for killing people in a specific spot which after a while moves somewhere else on the map.

Would help to know what game we're talking about here. People can offer more detailed tips if they know what particular game is troubling you. I'm going to go ahead and assume black ops 2.

Well lets see Crysis 3 is the most recent one. Battlefields another. and yeah COD too. I'm just...bad...I dont think its TV lag.

Twitch control is more important. Without it the other 2 are useless.

TV lag isn't going to matter at all. Honestly the most important thing is to not be discouraged. Being good at MP just requires time investment. I find this is more true the older you are; it's just a fact of nature that some 12 year old kid is going to have quicker reflexes than a 30 year old, so you need to practice more to compensate.

If you can't or don't want to put in a bunch of time, I agree with that guy who suggested playing objective modes. You can feel useful and have fun without caring about K/D ratio. Also, big team battles are good too if you learn to use teamwork with other players. Roving about in a group and assisting each other will help your K/D even if you aren't that good.
