With all of the buzz surrounding the issue of the new gaming systems being BC, I'm surprised no one has ever brought up the issue of forward compatibility; the ability of making XBOX 720 games that will run on the 360, just at lower resolution and possibly fewer features.
This will allow people still sitting on the fence about the newer system to still build up a nice library of games and not have to repurchase games they like for the newer system whenever they cross over. This was done once with the Burger King games; they ran on the XBOX1 and the 360 with better graphics. --- Gamertag: Donn Magic Juan
Apparently the new architecture is pretty different, so I don't know if that's really feasible. I mean, just from what devs have had to say. --- "'Grab the guns!' 'What about the troll?' 'Leave the troll.'"--ATHF
I think watching Destiny's development will give us the best information on how games/gamer profiles between this gen and last gen will communicate. --- Breakfast foods can serve many purposes ~Ron Swanson
While an interesting idea to help the less fortunate, those that are actually paying for the 720 deserve the attention, not those sticking with the 360 when it comes to systems or games. Basically, screw both BC and FC, just bring on the 720 and it's games. --- Currently playing: Mass Effect 3
Totally unfeasable. Games have a hard enough time fitting everything onto a DVD these days without doubling up on high res/lo res textures at the same time. --- "The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never be sure if they're true" - Abraham Lincoln
