Makes me sad to see AC4, which will obviously be crap since Ubisoft is just milking the series now, is getting a ton of love from a cliche idiotic pirate trailer. While poor old Bioshock is getting leftovers with a well designed, intriguing mockumentary.

What is wrong with the gamers?

Lots of things. BioShock is not an annual release, hence, it doesn't get as much recognition.

They have different business models. Ubisoft releases every year because they want to, but 2K doesn't because they simply don't want to and their beliefs are different on it.

2K, and Ubisoft has 2 completely different business models.

Also CDPR has the best business model.

I'll reserve my judgement till they become a bigger company.

I'm waiting for 2014 summer to play AC4. It's gonna be fun then cause that's a year and a half since I played the last one.

I think everyone in the gaming world weather you are a Nintendrone, Sony Pony, Xbot or part of the Master Race can agree that Pachter should be fired.

Maybe he shoulda stated that his opinion was from a consumer's point of view.
It's yet to be seen whether their no-DRM policy will actually pan out to a huge loss of sales.

Honestly, I doubt it. If people want to pirate your game, they're going to pirate it. They found that the vast majority of pirated versions of The Witcher 2 were actually the original DRM laden version they could later crack, rather than the completely DRM free versions released later. Suggested to them that pirates are more interested in cracking a game open rather than simply taking it.

It's like stealing a magazine or stealing a Argos catalogue.

Was AC3 really that bad?

I just finished 2 in December. Have Brotherhood and Revelations in my drawer and plan on digging into them soon.

3 looked sweet. Was it really that buggy? Is this just a case of big game backlash?

AC3 seemed bad for people who loved the series, I played 1 and 2 (not Brohood or Revelations) and never got into it. Even though I never got too far in AC3 from what I did play it was easily my favorite.
