Personally, I feel it's Far Cry 3 > Tomb Raider > Crysis 3 > Assassin's Creed.

Far Cry 3 nails the feel and is fun to use, but Tomb Raider just made it really, really fun to shoot. Crysis makes it feel heavy and not as efficient as the other two. And Assassin's Creed is auto-lock, so it doesn't require any skill to use.

No Skyrim? Madness.

(Granted, not so recent I suppose.)
What greater weapon is there than to turn an enemy to your cause? To use their own knowledge against them?

Today, I will be reborn like the Empire, whose incarnation I have conceived and incubated. Today I will bring forth the Empire Reborn.

I agree with Skyrim. My Wood elf ranger was a beast once I got up in level.

Skyrim. My roommate at the time always made new characters swearing he wouldn't use the bow.

Then I go in his room and bam there he is using it. Ranged was beast in Skyrim

Far Cry 3 had the best overall feel, but it's so effective and fun in Skyrim. I don't know how I played any other way-- just made my first full archer last month.

Skyrim doesn't count cuz it wasn't part of Year of the Bow.

im going with Skyrim.
as long as the game divides out to be around $1 or less an hour, the amount i spent on buying it is irrelevent.
