fredfredburger9Posted 3/12/2013 2:55:04 PM | We all know that type of game. For most of us, only one or two special gems fit this criteria. For luckier (or less demanding) types, there can be plenty of choices.
These are the kinds of games that to us, come around once or twice within a console's life cycle, and are the game(s) that we always go back to playing when we have nothing else to play/are too bored to play.
What are some games that fulfill this criteria for you guys?
For me it would be any of the four console MGS games: MGS, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4. Also, GTA4, SMB3/Super Mario World, or Crazy Taxi.
I'm sure I have a couple more but these are the games that I can almost always fall back on when I have nothing left to play in my queue.

a few other games that I always go back to are MGS3, Bayonetta, RDR, Castle Crashers, Crazy Taxi, GTA SA, GTA4, FFX, Marvel v Capcom 2, Mortal Kombat 9, and I have a feeling that Tomb Raider will be another game to add to that list
those are just a few that i can think of and not including a lot of PS2 games i used to play hours, hell even days on.

Star wars battlefront 1 and 2 (xbox, play it often on 360)
Burnout 3 (xbox, but I play it on 360)
Nfs hot pursuit 2 (ps2)
Tekken 3 (ps1) or any tekken game, I have them all but 3s the most fun tekken game imo
Nfs 3 hot pursuit (ps1)
Crash team racing (ps1)
Gta iv (360) or san andreas (I had ps2 and xbox game. The xbox one works on 360)
Soul calibur (xbox 360, originally dreamcast game)
Halo ce (xbox game but I'd use the 360)
I'd say timesplitters 2 and future perfect but I can't find my tv cable for my original xbox :(
Also, for a few of the ps2 and ps1/psx games, I have the cheat cd ;).
Even if all my friends are on next box and ps4, I'll still be happy in this gen. |

I almost posted these. Very good games. Great minds think alike, my favourite was soul calibur II and I found the case in the loft and was thrilled since I heard it works on the 360. I wanted to play it as it was years since I played it but the game wasn't in the case so I was kinda depressed lol. |
