^ Tomb Raider lasted me a little over 12 hours....how is that "too short" ? Especially considering Black Ops 2 can be beat in less than 6 hours. Though BO2 does have good & somewhat varied On-line multi-player.
Far Cry 3 does last a very long time...but the majority of its length is repetitive grinding.
I was able to 100% it by renting it for two nights. It cost ~$55 less than buying it. I love the game, I'm just suggesting that he buy something with more replayability and a cheaper price.
I suggested Black Ops II because I know the multiplayer will be strong for at least another year or so; Tomb Raider's online will probably fade out by the end of the month. That's why I said "unless the multiplayer is somehow amazing."
