Xbox 360

Kinect isn't a requirement to use the console. This is my only sticking point. I used to be a Sony fanboy going back to 1996, but after the Xbox was released, it was my primary console choice. A lot of the rumors that have leaked so far are leaning me back to Sony though. I also believe that the new Xbox will be slightly underpowered because of the direction that MS has been taking the 360. They are concerned about grabbing a larger slice of the media marketshare. Personally, I don't care about Xbox Music/Movies, Skype, Crackle, and other apps. All I care about is games.

I don't bother engaging in such speculation. Indulging in imagining a dream scenario inevitably leads to disappointment when the actual even occurs. I prefer to deal with what actually happens rather than what I would consider to be ideal.
