And get the 250 gb harddrive later. Will I be able to play Gears 3/Judgement, Witcher 2, Black Ops 2 online? Maybe even download Ninja Gaiden Black? Thats all I want for now. Thanks..

I'm going to assume ninja gained black will be 2+GB to download, so you may be pushin it, I honestly don't have a proper answer for you though.

IIRC you need a HDD for Xbox originals. The rest should be fine.

Why waste money on a dinky 4gig. That's very cheap of Microsoft. How come their is no 40, 60,80,100,120,,140,160,180 gig models? Only 250 gig.

Ninja gaiden black is a 6GB beast. At least opt for a 20-60GB hard drive, pop it open and then put it in the console.

Back when the 360 launched 4GB would have been ok. Now I couldn't imagine not having my 250GB. The average XBLA game is usually a gig or so.

Don't get the 250GB HDD unless you are buying the system that comes with it.

The 320GB HDD is roughly the same price, and comes with NFS Hot Pursuit, Ms. Splosion Man, and Pinball FX 2 with Sorcerer's Lair (unless you buy the older package, which includes a code for Lego Star Wars 3).

Also, in case you were thinking of going third-party, note that third-party HDDs are typically not configured properly, and therefore cannot be used to play original Xbox games, unless you get the proper software and hardware to configure it properly yourself.

With only the 4gb you will not be able to play online games as LIVE does not count it as a hdd (silly I know). Buying the HDD separate is a good idea as it can sometimes work out cheaper in the long run.

Wrong.

I played CoD for a while sans HDD.

The only thing I couldn't play was Halo Reach Campaign online.

Complete and utter BS, except for a few specific online modes for specific games.
