Think MS should release a BC Xbox 3?

You know, 2 versions of Xbox 3. The standard, and a premium one that is backwards compatible with at least 360. The BC model would obviously be slightly larger as it would most likely require additional hardware.

I think consoles need to be bc with atleast the previous generation. Not everyone has enough space in their household to store many consoles. I live in a small apartment because I'm going to college, and I don't have enough room as is with all my gaming stuff (computer, consoles, bluray player, tvs, 200+ dvd/blurays, and of course, over 350+ physical games).

Its getting ridiculous. Besides, its good to have a console that can do both. My PS3 died and I was hoping PS4 was going to be BC with PS3 that way I wouldn't have to buy another one and I simply wouldn't need a PS3. But looks like that won't be the case. Nintendo does it well. DS games can be play on 3DS and Wii games on Wii U (great for me because I never owned an actual Wii).

I do hope the next xbox is backwards compatible with both previous xboxes. I still play Ninja Gaiden, Halo 1, and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory to this day.

I could not care less. I have no issues keeping my Xbox 360 for playing Xbox 360 games. I don't understand the mentality that the new gen means the previous gen dies. You can still play old consoles, too. I still have my SNES and my Genesis and still play them from time to time...

Let's not pretend any 360 will last as long as an SNES or Genesis though.

Go there now! Or don't. Whatever man.

The older systems had far fewer moving parts. By the time the 360 becomes as old as the SNES and Genesis, we'll have emulators to run the games. I don't see it as a problem if the next Xbox doesn't have backward compatibility...in fact, it's a positive as it will be less expensive.

Instead of BC, I think they should give every system a HDD personally. I think there would be more to gain from that.

I think you will get THAT wish. Hard drives will be standard...probably in the 500GB range.
