Well, sorta. I can connect "fine". That is when I sign in, it asks for email/password to update account security, then proceeds to tell me the info is incorrect. if I press the Home button, my account will remain signed in and I can access friends, messages, etc. The info IS correct as I can login through xbox.com just fine, and I checked my email to make sure it wasn't comprimised.
previously I could not remain signed in at all, however I downloaded my account through account recovery and can get this far at least. My cousin is having the exact same issue on my console; I have Silver and he has Gold. That's a Security Proofs issue; i.e. the ways you reset your password.
