In no particular order:

Fallout New Vegas

Those are really the only games that stand out as incredible to me... So I don't even have five.

I hate listening to dreams. It's like flipping through a stack of pictures. If I'm not in any of them, and nobody's having sex, I just...don't care

Elder Scrolls Oblivion/Skyrim & Fallout 3/NV - makes sense to put all 4 together for this gen

Gears of War series - 3rd person shooter gaming at its best, definitely definitive this gen

CoD series - love it or hate it (by this stage of this gen it's old and boring now but throughout the 360 era it has brought 100s of hours of fun) no doubt CoD has been definitive this gen

Street Fighter IV series - absolutely loved it, reignited and blew up the fighting game community due to online gaming

Forza Motorsport series - taken driving simulation to the next level

shout outs to the Mass Effect series, which was pretty special as well looking back
shout outs to sandbox games like Far Cry 2 & 3, for example - they've been pretty solid this gen

No Particular order
1. Gears of War 1 multiplayer. Logged more hours on that than probably all of my other games combined. Plus I met some of the best friends I have on that game
2. Fallout 3 was surprised by the sheer size and detail put into the world
3. Mass Effect series obvious reasons
4. Walking Dead the ending was the first time I ever got emotional over a video game
5. Left 4 Dead being able to play with friends as we massacre hordes of zombie is like the perfect experience for me
