What is the point of DLC that comes out on the same day that a game is released?

Quote:^Lol at the corporate patsy.

Lol and the juvenile and entitled dimwits that don't understand how a business works.

The hobbit is not a children's book

Ok, then they took a super duper serious 330 page book and stretched it into 3 movies so they could charge you triple the price.

What is this? I don't even....

He's too young to have read any Tolken.

So you're saying The Hobbit was not around 300 pages?

I don't fault them for doing it, its a business and its shown to be a valid strategy, I just wish they wouldnt advertise it and delay it a few weeks to help foster the illusion they did it later, all it does is create animosity between customer and producer. And for Super, they do get paid, by their employers. Those kind of arguments are foolish and you know it

Nobody can give a solid answer to the question unless they actually are on the development team and has inside information. All day 1 dlc is not intentionally held back. Time constraints do exist but I also don't doubt that some dlc is purposely left out until later. I try to determine by the quality of the game and content but at the end of the day, it's only speculation.
With this blow....I shall seal your fate!!!

I hate how Metro: Last Light is having Ranger Mode as DLC. It's ridiculous. It was already in the previous game and isn't so much content as a difficulty mode. It's not like they needed to go so far as to design new assets and areas.
