I bought my 40" 1080p Samsung for $999 3 years ago. I can buy the same one for today for like $499. I think it's time to upgrade.

On my personal 42' I spent about $350. Got a fantastic deal.

On the one I use most of the time, I'm not sure. It's a ~80'

It's beautiful

I hate listening to dreams. It's like flipping through a stack of pictures. If I'm not in any of them, and nobody's having sex, I just...don't care

^ I HATE you !
LoL, just kidding. I don't even know you, but I purchased mine the day it launched for $499.
It was $250 just a few months later.

So yeah, it kinda chaps my hide.
You'd be pissed to if you knew what I had to do in order to get the money.
I sold my entire "Walking Dead" comic issues. Even all the first issues.
Yeah, not one of my brightest moments.

to be fair with yourself...generally, it's like that with any sort of electronics these days...those that get them early undoubtedly spend more. while those that wait a few months get it much cheaper....nothing wrong buying it either way...it's just the general rule of thumb these days.

Got a nice 59" Samsung plasma in the living room on a manager's special last year for...what was, 670 or so? Helluva deal and a great tv. I didn't buy it for *just* gaming though. I also have a 46" Sharp Aquos Quattron LED in the bedroom (The previous living room tv), but I think I actually spent more on that than I did the 59". The joys of advancing technology!
